This pattern details the steps required to weave an heirloom basket centered about a 4" round slotted acrylic bloom base. The pattern contains 7 pages and 31 photos that show how to use loop spokes for design interest as well as border creation. It also shows how to create a "becoming" design and instructions for the "Pretzel Border". Spoke templates and "Common Techniques" are available as free downloads from this website.

The pictures shown utilize a "Sheleeart" style acrylic bloom coated with 1-2 layers of epoxy on a slotted wooden base. These bases are available for purchase within this store. This pattern may be scaled for a 4", 5" or 6" base. To achieve similar spoke gaps, the 4" would use (32) spokes, the 5" would use (40) spokes and the 6" would use (48) spokes. The weaver would be responsible for ensuring ample weaving material as the larger/smaller diameter may require more/less reed.
