I have a wall hanging with a Star Base…and the spoke gaps are uneven. It drives me just a little nuts. To forestall that happening again, we designed a small jig that holds (4) groups of (4) #4 spokes so the weaver can focus on weaving and not spoke gap. Once the spokes are secured with 2 rows of twining, just pop the base out, spread the spokes and you are ready to weave a trivet, basket or a wall hanging. While the jigs are very durable, they are not immune to high temperatures (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit) or pets.
